7th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Leaders Summit
24-27 June 2010
Bangalore, Karnataka, India
This important regional event will bring together the key Scout Leaders
of all member Scout organizations in the Asia-Pacific Region to analyze
the developments since the 6th APR Scout Leaders Summit in 2009 and to
provide direction for the region.
Ideally, each NSO should be represented by the:
- Chief Commissioner or equivalent
- International Commissioner
- Chief Scout Executive or equivalent
Sub-Committee
Prior to the summit, all sub-committees will
have their respective meetings:meetings from 21-22 June and details of
these meetings will be circulated.
Registration fees
US$ 250 per person in twin sharing rooms.
Fee will cover inland transportation, food and accommodation for 5
nights, educational tour, summit documents and souvenirs.
Conference Venue
The Atria Hotel, Bangalore, Karnataka,
India.The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the city on
Palace Road. It is easily accessible to MG Road-the corporate hub of
Bangalore which is just 5 kms away. It is also accessible from the
airport in 45 minutes and less than 10 minutes from the city railway

Accommodation
All participants will be accommodated on twin
sharing basis in the same hotel as the summit venue. If any participant
wishes to stay in a single room, an additional amount of US$30 to the
package price will be required.
Accompanying persons program
There will be an Accompanying persons program during the summit and the fee is US$200.
Visa
Please check with your travel agent or the nearest
Indian Embassy or Consul for the visa requirements. If you need
invitation letter, please write to the host country, The Bharat Scouts
& Gudes, ahead of time so as to have ample time in securing your
visas.
Local Attractions
Places to Visit: Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, The
Bull Temple, Bangalore Palace, Vidhan Soudha, musical fountain and many
more. Bangalore is one of the most beautiful cities in South India, a
tourist destination and popularly known as Silican valley. It is also
very close to the historical city of Mysore.
Foreign Exchange
Current Exchange Rate 1 US Dollar = 46.03
Indian Rupee (as of 18 Feb 2010). US dollar is widely used; TC, VISA
Cards, Master Cards are likewise accepted in most hotels and
restaurants.
Weather
Due to its elevation, Bangalore is blessed with
relatively pleasant climate. The city of Bangalore counts amongst the
few cities in India that experience an agreeable weather throughout the
year. Bangalore's weather in June varies between 20°C - 29°C.
