Mt. Makiling is the site of the regional jamboree come December this year which happened to be the venue of the 10th World Scout Jamboree.

Coordinators of different jamboree services reported the progress of their work on the area of programme, physical arrangements, health and sanitation, food and catering, among others. The team made an ocular inspection to the sub-camp and facilities to ensure that all the 12,000 Scouts and leaders who are expected to participate will have a wonderful experience during the jamboree.

Ongoing improvements on different facilities are being carried out to make sure that every logistical need will be met. One example of this is the newly constructed building which will host the exhibition of the 10th World Scout Jamboree memorabilias and their well-anticipated reunion. Presently, it has now more than 30 participants from five national Scout organizations, including Hong Kong with the largest contingent so far.

Also present at the meeting were key leaders of Boy Scouts of the Philippines headed Secretary General JR Pangalinan, National Treasurer Enrique Lagdameo, past APR Programme Sub-Committee Chairman Ms Mari Nakano, Programme Sub-Committee member Mr Rajalingam Ramasamy, Scouting Profile Sub-Committee member Alan Zulueta and Regional Director Abdullah Rasheed, accompanied by Executives from the regional office.
